Manipuri Dance Performance

The Embassy of India, in association with ICCR, organized a dance performance at Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre, Phnom Penh on 24 February.

The dance group was led by Ms. S. Nandita Devi. The dance and drum performances – DheeraSameere, Terena, RaasLeela, PungCholom and Devistuti – passionate dance and lively drum beats, by talented artistes of northeasten State of Manipur in India, left the audience spellbound.

Hon’ble Minister of Culture & Fine Arts, H.E. Mrs. PhoeungSakona was the Chief Guest at the event. H.E. Son Soubert, Privy Councillor to King of Cambodia and his spouse, Mr. Hun Mani, President of UYFC, Ambassadors of various countries, distinguished guests, members of Indian & Cambodian community and school children also enjoyed the performance.
