Launching of Quick Impact Project at Kampong Chnnang

A workshop was held by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries, Kingdom of Cambodia, for launching of Quick Impact Project titled "Improving Farm Household Income through Promoting Rice Value Chain of Agricultural Cooperative” at Kampong Chnnang on 11 March 2016.

H.E. So Khan Rithykun, Director General, General Directorate of Agriculture, presided over the event which was attended by Mrs.HengKimsreng, Deputy Director of Kampong Chhnang PDA and officers from Ministry of Agriculture. Embassy of India was represented by Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Second Secretary.

This project was launched in pursuance of an umbrella Agreement between India and Cambodia signed on 16.09.2015 for implementation of short gestation Quick Impact Projects under Mekong Ganga Cooperation initiative. A grant assistance of US$ 50,000/- each for financial years 2015-16 and 2016-17 for this project is being provided by Government of India.
