Partners for Women’s Economic Empowerment under Mekong Ganga Cooperation

Government of India is working with Ministry of Women’s Affairs under Mekong-Ganga Cooperation Quick Impact Project (QIP) programme to enhance the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Women’s Development Centres (WDC) at Kampong Speu and Preah Sihanouk provinces. Under the project, a state of the art ICT based information and resource centre will be established at both WDCs.

A training programme on capacity building in Information and Communication Technology was conducted at Kampong Speu province for staff of Women’s Development Centre on 5 & 6 May 2016. Basic training on information technology and use of social media was imparted to women entrepreneurs and female-headed households with the aim to increase their income and achieve inclusive pro-poor local economic growth.
