Redevelopment of Railway station on Indian Railways

The Ministry of Railway has launched an ambitious program of redeveloping the larger stations of the country (about 400) to international standards by leveraging the real estate potential of vacant railway land and airspace in and around the stations into iconic structures reflecting the culture and character of the cities and provide state-of-the-art facilities to the travelling public and residents of the cities. This would provide immensely large investment opportunities for the developers.

2. In this regard, Ministry of Railways would like to invite all stakeholders viz. prospective developers/financial institutions, consulting firms etc. to bid for these 23 stations.
