Vande Bharat Mission – Special Evacuation Flight No. AI 1305 from Phnom Penh to Delhi on 22.12.2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and suspension of international travel by most of the countries around the globe, large number of Indian tourists, professionals, students etc. are stranded in various countries. In order to evacuate stranded Indian Nationals from different countries and to get them back to India, Government of India has launched an operation titled ‘Vande Bharat Mission’.

Embassy of India, Phnom Penh facilitated repatriation of 148 Indian Nationals from Cambodia by Air India evacuation Flight No. AI1305 on 22nd December, 2020 which was the fifth "Vande Bharat Mission" flight. Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, Dr. Devyani Uttam Khobragade, and other Embassy officials were present at Phnom Penh International airport during the operation. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Interior, and State Secretariat of Civil Aviation of Royal Government of Kingdom of Cambodia and airport authorities cooperated and extended all possible help to operate the flight and facilitate passengers.
